Any insight would be appreciated...
Hi Guys,
Haven't posted in awhile, hope all is well.
We're talking about a 93 Subaru Legacy. This started about a week ago. Initially, it doesn't want to start. Whines and sputters. Flood it, and it starts, and runs great and re-starts fine all day. After it sits for several hours, same problem. During that initial start it feels/sounds like it just not getting the gas. When it finally starts there's a small amount of grey smoke (from exhaust, not engine) I'm getting different explanations everywhere, and so I turn to you guys once agian! Dude said it was the plugs--changed them-not it. Someone else says could be the automatic choke? Third person says probably fuel pump. I am now being told that if it were the fuel pump, it would not be running so smooth once it's started. That it would be running noticably crappy.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance,
Laura
