Any thoughts on Turbocharging a 69 Camaro?

I am thinking of building a 383 Stroker motor, but my motor is not very old at all, maybe 2,000 miles on it so I hate to just tear into it if there is a better way to get HP. My motor has somewhere between 375-400 horse now. Not planning on drag racing it, just want it very streetable and powerful

Has anyone any experience putting a turbo charger kit on a 69 Camaro with 350 engine? Worth doing? Would it be better than building a 383.

Any thoughts or ideas are much appreciated!!

It would be easier, faster and probably cheaper to go with a small supercharger like a 142 than it would be trying to plumb a turbo. Depending on what your combustion chamber design and compression ratio will allow, the 142 is good for 5-6 psi.

www.ststurbo.com If you want a relatively easy turbo system install these systems have a lot of benefits.

Yes way way more power than a 383.

If your engine has a high compression ratio now, you may want to look into water injection for your turbo system.
