OK so my buddy needed a carb for an Olds he bought &he had this high rise intake & I always thought they looked cool & I had a carb I didn't need so I traded .This thing is heavy as hellb& says high power or something on it.Looks like a knock off.I have an rim intake with my 750 demon I wanna put this on here the 355 was professionally built the block is a 4 bolt main out of a 72 corvette or Cheverly I forget. It was decked, honed magnafluxed etc all the goodies added been running 305 heads but the shop that built it has a set of aluminum heads he's giving me @ a great price.
There the one's we were gonna first use
He told me bring it out & he will do a few things & get me at least 100 extra he anyways I'm ranting
Anybody know about this intake & what can I expect if I throw it on?

It's a Professional Products "Hurricane", or the ProComp/clone copy of it. Dead giveaway is the shape of the carb opening.

Hurricane is a good intake, but it needs a good big higher RPM engine to really use it, 3500-8000 RPM powerband.

Like a 13:1 compression 355, or 11:1+ compression 383 or 406, solid flat tappet or solid roller cam and a lot of stall 3400 RPM+ and rear gear 4.11+

Intake ID

This intake is designed for racing, it has a large plenum and like previously stated is for an upper RPM range 4000-8000. If your running a heavy street car without a high stall 5500 converter and or steep gearing 4:56-5:13 then this
Intakes is probably not for you. A dual plane or an open plenum with a smaller plenum and smaller runners ( like a Edelbrock torquer) would perform better in the. RPM range most street cars see.
If your building a race only motor with good heads thus could be a great intake but for a street car it's kind if a miss match.
