Anyone from around Cleveland??

Hey guys.

This site is great!!

I really love old cars, be it Muscle cars, Hot rods or my new interest, Rat Rods. I'm really interested in starting a project Rat Rod in the near future...once I get this wedding thing over with in May. Like a lot of the other guys on the site, money is a little tight, so I hope this is a way to get into hotrodding!!

I'm hoping to meet someone from around my area that may be able to give me a few pointers or let me know of any project cars around for when I get started - or to look at their projects to help with mine. I don't know a lot about cars, but from looking at this site, I think you guys are a great help.

Thanks for any help,

Geoff

Geoff....take a look at the classifieds as there are quite a few projects that are worthy of taking on.

Geoff...There are going to be a couple of rat rod and traditional rod clubs displaying at the Choppers Rod & Custom show next month. Why not come up, see the show and talk with them. I'm sure that they would be more than happy to give you any information you want. And it's easier to talk to people face to face than over the 'net'
Our show is being held in North Olmsted, April 7-8-9 at the Soccerplex on Lorain Rd, at I-480 & Rt 10 [the last exit on 480W before the turnpike].
If you do come, look me up. Ask for Mike with the gray hair.

NE OHIO in Lorain county that is!!

I'm all over the cruisins up here...Look for a pro-street 53 Chevy sedan with a blue body and white top....Thats me!! Look into dis-guarded projects...a lot of people start a project and it gets to big for them to finish or they mess up something and drop the project all together..you just have to pick up where they left off or fix their mistakes...watch the local papers..go on line at www.cruisintimes.org

Thanks for the replies, fellas.

Look forward to meeting/seeing you at some of the local car shows...if this crappy weather ever clears up. You gotta love Ohio!! hehe

I think I found myself a T-bucket. Pretty much just needs put back together and an engine, trans, and gas tank. If you know of any leads, let me know.
