Anyone Bought Gorilla Performance products?

Anyone Bought Gorilla Performance E-Brake cables?

They appear to be Lokar knock-offs at much lower costs. Lokar = 110$ and Gorilla = 62$. I will be collecting parts for the E-Brake system to hook-up to my 8.8 rear diff and found them on E-Bay...

There are at least two items I would not try to buy at the cheapest price, parachutes and emergency brake systems. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. You need to learn that NOW, before some cheezy, low quality item takes your life.

I use the factory e-brake cables and shorten them to suit my needs..you can braze a new end on the factory cable and a cut off tool will deal with the housing as needed..And I did not spend money on mine..

Thanks for the replies,

I will check out my old rear cables from my 67 Mustang and see how friendly they would be to modify. They have a crimped end on the cables that may pose a problem if the cables have to be cut down. Not to mention, replacement cables that would need modification will cost as much as the Gorillas.

Anybody out here familiar with Gorilla Performance in case the stock cables aren't friendly enough for me?

Hey Tech, since you have an eye for quality why not stop by Fast Brakes in Phoenix( a Gorilla Distributor) (602)323-8110 and check them out first hand and give us a report.Checked out the website and products carry U.S.patents,if it looks good promoting an AZ business would be a plus.

Maybe Tech can check'em out (see post) Since Lokar is pretty much a specialty company they don't have much competition,in America when companies do compete it is usually a win win for the consumers wallet.

ripped off by dean oshiro

Thought I would chime in with my experience with GorillaPerformace, aka moonmr, zero offset, hotrodsusa, deanoshiro, partscityusa. I never recieved my parts after paying for them in 2009. Had to sue him and now he is trying to discharge his debt in bankruptcy court. Good thing my wife is a lawyer. Im not the only one to be ripped off either.
