Anyone do a 12V conversion on a early ford?

I have a 63 Fairlane and need to do a 12V conversion from the 6V generator. The car did have a 12V battery when I bought it with the generator, thus the reason the radio is gone (blown) I guess? Anyways what do I need to do to get it done right outside a battery, alternator. FYI I have a 1 wire alternator for the swap. Thanks
