The people that iritate the crap out of me are the ones that will post a 85 camaro and post it as " Vintage collectible antique racecar hot wheels custom old hot rod pro street cheverolet camaro". The search engine picks up on every word in the description, more exposure, etc. smart but irritating when you're looking for a particular item. Look for a model a radiator, there will be 300 honda parts there. <img src="graemlins/boxing.gif" border="0" alt="[boxing]" /> Dan

Why wouldnt you say that? If it sells that pieceof crap whatever, who cares? It's just toa attract more attention. If there are three of the same thing you are going to look at the one that looks mroe interesting, you click on it to see why it is a "collectible". ITs just a way of selling. Its to make people think it is a collectible or whatver, but hopefully no one eventualy buys it because they think it is. ?

I see where your coming from "mr56" but I agree with the others it is annoying, when you search for one thing and 9000 items pop-up that have nothing to do with what you are looking for. I don't sell anything there but I have bought a couple "hot wheels" and my nitro RC monster truck, comes in handy that ebay.

That does get very annoying, especially when you search for something and it comes up with the items and they end up saying something like, "I can teach you how to sell this on eBay". WTF. There are twice as many items just because of that sometimes.

How about rare car!!!! Came from factory with dent... I could post that and it would be true if I tried to sell my car
Or else RARE 1984 BUBBLE BACK CAPRIE RS WITH 5.0. Know a guy here who always says that... go it appraised and everything... I guess it is just the 84s that are rare... I mean WHAT THE HELL IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE 84 AND 83????? |

Its not just E-Bay. When I get to wheeling and dealing it usually goes this way. What I got is clean, painted and ready to bolt on or use. What I want is under the car where the dog got sick, next to the wasp nest, in the mud puddle with the 4 foot snake skin. Oh, and the right tab is broke off and the handle don't come with it.

Oldsmobile only built about 4500 of the 1971 442 Holiday Coupes like I own, and God only knows how many are still in existance, so I believe mine actually does qualify as a reasonably rare automobile. In checking out production figures, only in 1964 did Olds produce less 442's than in 1971. By the way, mine is coming along quite nicely. Body floor is done, frame is done, body is mounted back on the frame, engine/tranny/diff are installed as are the brakes, fuel lines etc. Now we start on the outer body panels!

I have a rare 90 Escort GT. The GT option will make this car a highly sought after, concours coupe. This one has the deluxe GT package where vinyl stripe is tricolored. And given that the plain GT stripe makes Escorts 8.6mph faster, the deluxe GT must be wicked. I have never actually raced this car, but my tekky buddy says low 11s for sure.
I would keep this rare clasic for ever, but my trailer rent is overdue. Don't miss this rare opportunity is own such a fine specimen. One of only 47,223 produced. A sacrifice for only $9,990 Firm. No tire kickers!! |

Seems that every part I look for (dash knob, screws, molding, trim bits, side view mirrors) has the words CHEVELLE in big letters in the title then in the description it lists the 15 other models it came standard in.
Its possible the peice could be swapped into a chevelle so they tack on an extra 50%. My favorite is the disclaimer "Check your application" which means "Hell if I know, it came from a rusted out impala" |
