Anyone Ever Use the DIY Seat Reupholstery Kit From LMC Truck?

Got a quote on reupholstering the seat in my 49 F-1. $550 or $750 with seat heaters for a pretty ordinary single fabric upholstery job.

So I look around and find at seat reupholstery kit in the LMC catalog (page 62 in the Fall '09). Mac's also has them but they don't appear to offer a fabric version, just the old sticky vinyl.

Anyone use one of these? I don't need a fancy custom seat, just something nice looking and servicable.

They also don't say if any additional padding is necessary.

I don't know what the kit you're talking about contains, but the seat upholstery "kits" used to be just the seat cover and a large piece of cotton along with some burlap and hog rings. That was great when the 40 or 50 year old seats were new, but there are much better products available now. $550 isn't a bad price if the seat gets re-padded and the work is first rate. $750 with 2 seat heaters is reasonable also.
