Question anyone familliar with keyless entry systems?

I want to convert the hydraulic tilt front end on my truck to remote operation. It will be real easy to do IF I can find a remote that work the way that I need. Does anyone have experience with a keyless system that the output stays energized as long as you hold down the button? I need at least a 2 function remote, one for open, one for closed. Thanks, HotRod

Digikey is an electronics supplier that has such an animal. It is made by Links Technology and is capable of what you want to do, but it is hardly turn key and having some electronics knowledge would be required to make it function in your application. Have a look at the bottom of the page under OEM Modules,

This can get pretty geeky because you will need relays to switch your power to components etc. These are basically developer components to produce your own devices but they are the most complete systems I have seen to accomplish your goal.

Thanks 4 Jaw, I'll check them out. As far as the wiring goes, it's no problem. If I can get a transmitter/receiver that do what I need, I can design and wire the rest. I saw a show on TV the other day where the guy had a licence plate that was under the car until he started the engine then it dropped down. I kinda got me thinking "geeky" too. I figured that hydraulic front tilt is something that you don't see every day and it usually gets a lot of attention at the cruises, it will really get some looks if it goes up and down with no one around.

It would be a slick system F100, if you need any more assistance let me know I'm kind of a "geek" myself. That unit is nice because it is 8 channel so you could have a whole multitude of cool functions on your truck, I like the hidden license plate trick myself.

We'll just call you Bond, James Bond. :p
