Anyone have a 88 700R4 valvebody installation torque sequence?

Getting ready to pull the valve body to install a Trango JR kit to fix my sticking TV piston. I read through the instructions provided and there were no torque specs at all. Kit didn't even come with seperator plate gaskets!

If someone can help me, I'd greatly appreciate it, just need to know the pattern to tighten them up and the torque spec.

I do have an assembly manual for 4L60-Es, but I'm sure the valve bodies are different enough that I can't use it as a guide for this tranny.

Thanks in advance!

Jeff

Just start at the center & spiral out clockwise or counter clockwise.

Thank you for the reply, I was figuring on doing that if I couldn't find a diagram, but it seems like the 4L60-E valve bodies I've done weren't tightened in that fashion..

Do you know what torque spec I should go to? ft/lbs / in/oz?

Haven't done a 700R4 but the 2004R is 9 - 12 ft. lbs. or 100-120 inch. lbs.
The valve body can also be torqued like a head bolt pattern.

I tighten the 2 alignment bolts first .. then tighten all the other bolts in what ever pattern I feel like.

I use a speed handle and tighten by hand.

Toque spec wise .........GM used to tell us 8 foot pounds(96 inch pounds) and the 2 bolts near the TV valve bore area to tighten them at 6 foot pounds (72 inch pounds)... that was decades ago though.
