Anyone have a good how-to on installing headliners in a Camaro?

Hey,

I was just wondering if anyone has a link to a good site that would have a step by step how to for installing headliners - namely the 68 camaro.

THe car didn't have one when I bought it (it should have gone to the crusher but it's got a new life now!) so I don't really know how its supposed to go in there. That puts me at a disadvantage. The rest of the car was the same (not together) but I got most of that figured out. . . .

Thanks for any help or pointers anyone can give.

I think I'm already gonna have to wait until the weather warms up . . . sounds like that will make things easier as a whole.

Headliners that are hung on bows like your Camaro are basically installed the same. Find the center of the headliner front and rear, the center of the car front and rear, and mark it. Hang the headliner, stretch front to rear first making sure to keep the headliner centered, and then stretch side to side. Attach around the perimeter (some attach with tacks or staples, some attach with glue) and trim off the excess. www.stockinteriors.com and a dozen other places have your headliner for under $100. Check the knowledge base for tips on installation. This is not a hard job in a smaller car like yours. Just remember one basic thing......do not cut anything off until you are absolutely sure. Even if you screw it up the first time, for another $100 you are back in business and will have the satisfaction of doing it yourself. Good luck.

Here's a link from the Knowledge Base on this site:

Look for "Headliner and Interior Trim Replacement"
