It is so odd and like all specialty tools, it looks like it has no use, then you find out, ahhhh. Just wondering, there are a lot of those mystery tools on ebay and I just find them interesting.

The round gizmo could possibly be twisted to open the jaws maybe ?

Yeah, after I posted that question, I decided to just do a separate thread - - - - as I mentioned in another thread, I took my brain out of gear and it's still in neutral today.
