Anyone have info on mustang II in Early Rambler

Hi guys,
I am doing a 60 Rambler American and swapping the engine, trans etc. Looks like I will be able to retain the stock front end but just in case has anyone put a mustang II or similiar front end under a unibody rambler or any unibody car for that matter? Any advice would be helpful..would be nice to run discs. Also, I heard you can put disc brakes from a small AMC such as a Hornet or Gremlin on to the Rambler American front end..I've seen this years ago but cant remember the details..
Thanks,
Robert

While I am not familiar with the specifics of your Rambler I did adapt a Mustang II front suspension to my 1970 Mercedes 280 SEL (the big four door sedan). I needed to go to the MII because the Ford 4.6L modular motor I installed left no room for the stock steering box.
I built a bolt-in subframe for the Mustang II cross-member and then fabbed some mounting points to the Mercedes unibody. I'll see if I can attach some photos.
The car drives very nice and the setup is very clean. If you have specific questions just post a reply.

I think I would contact Fatman and see what they say.
They seem to be the ones who do the not so normal conversions.
The unibody shouldn't be a deal killer but it may make things interesting.
