no its not this car im building is going to see alot of street duty including 300 mile trips to the drag strips and salt flats i refuse to give up the ability to take the car out on a nice day when i want to
more then likley ill stick with the afr 245s as they will make the power im after , but as most of us i was being open to other options to make the power easier

use the correct head for the application. If 245 AFR heads are what you need then use them. You know what happens if you use heads that are too large

while the afr 245's will work great im sure i could get 1,700 hp out of them, i was just looking for other options and cost.

say it takes 30 psi of boost to make 1,700 hp with the afrs , another head might only take 22psi to make 1,700 hp

its really not about picking a set of heads alone , i need to pick a set of heads and turbochargers that will be most efficiant together at my horse power goal

ive been going over alot of heads and turbo compressor maps latley trying to come up with the most efficiant combination of parts to put down 1,500 hp reliably

are you looking at the AFRs out of the box flow numbers? They are C N C ported only. My dart 227s were C N C ported then hand tweaked before the build. I gained 9 CFM over advertised out of the box flow.

If you are using pump gas you will need 400 cfm flow and still need a fair bit of boost
