Anyone interested - cruising around Chicagoland?

Do we have any Chicagoland members? Anyone interested in cruising around the area some weekend? I thought it might be cool to get a group together and drive.

So does this mean there is nobody from the Chicago area on the board or they just don't drive their cars?

He did post it over two weeks ago. I would think everyone has gotten out of their cars at least a few times.

I've read of the street action that used to take place in Chi-Town. There were some pretty bad-A cars around- I recall hearing of a 4-door MOPAR(?) that kicked a lotta A along the way to going sportsman.

Heard of Fridays @ Kirchoff road, 4 Corners, numerous Steak & Shake drive-in's, etc.

OT- Who doesn't remember the "Chi-Town Hustler"? Few will recall Chicagoan Austin Coil being the crewchief in the 70's and 80's, though. With Frank Hawley driving, he won a couple NHRA championships w/it. This was right before being hired by John Force; the rest is history- but is also why Coil will probably always have more championships than Force.

There are plenty of shows and cruise nights but the only driving these guys want to do are the 6 blocks from the garage to the parking lot the show is in. I must be ADHD because I can't handle just being parked. Just trying to see if anyone wants to go cruising around biker style.

Even when I was a kid in the latre 70s guys would crise Archer and Harlem looking for a street race, Dukes Drive in on South Harlem was the place to go to find a race, once in a while guys would trailer cars there and race em on the street.

Presently building one up on the Northside!

The plan is to be done by next year, but we'll see!

That's a Bad A.$.$. Mopar you got there, I love those cars.

Our SBeast has a '34 Ford styled body, Chevy 355 and the pinnacle a 2005 Dodge Viper six speed transmission.

NICE!
