Anyone know any web sites to buy a media blasting unit?
Im looking to start a side business doing media blasting. problem is i cant seem to find the blasting units anywhere. i came across a couple on ebay in the past but the last one i saw was about 8 months ago and wasnt sure if it was an investment i wanted to make at the time. anyway, does anyone know where to purchase them? ive been searching but pretty much comes up a dead end. thanks, Buddy M.

Are you looking for a cabinet, or something larger? I bought my bead blasting cabinet from grainger.

im looking for a unit to blast large objects full cars etc. I have a standard pressurized sand blaster but im looking for an actual media blast set up that is safe for blasting newer cars with thin sheetmetal.

I started a sideline business doing that myself last year -it's no get rich quick scheme but it has been alright. Anyway, I bought my equipment through this company Westmin Industries www.westmin.net He's based in Calgary, Alberta whcih worked good for me as I'm based in Edmonton, AB but he has distributors in the US. The system works well -check it out.

I paid $7500 CDN -I think I saw the same system priced at ~$5800 through a company called the Harmon Group out of Portland Oregon -they have a website but I don't recall the url.

I have the K-200. The K-20 is a lightweight unit not suited to constant use. Keep in mind that you need a substantial compressor to power this -I have a diesel powered 185cfm compressor. You can buy or rent the compressor dependig on your situation. I bought a used one from a rental company.
