Electric heater for vehicles (mainly trucks) old enough to not have heat or for auxiliary heat. They were sold in JC Whitney back in the day. If it works it might have some value to someone wanting to restore a vehicle the way it was 50-60 years ago, or to use in a farm truck, etc.

I wouldn't "restore" it-any value would be as an original survivor, IMHO.

They should put those electric heaters back into mini-vans.
That way the soccer moms could toast some eggos or pop-tarts while they're applying their make-up and chatting on the cell-phone.

"Multi-tasking" :thumbup:

A plain jane one like that, $20-$40 probably. If you get one that's more art deco or fancier, they will go higher.

I found this in a 51 Chevy truck. It's not an electric heater. It has coolant lines going too and from. It looks like it has a two-speed fan control and a knob to control the defrost.

I went out and took a closer look at it to see if I can find a model number or anything that could identify it. To my surprise, I did find one word..."Ford". This might explain why I've had issues finding it on the web.

I just found one on the web. It said it's from a 46-48 Ford and they wanted $300 for it. I seriously doubt it is really worth that. It is good condition. I think it could be hooked up and put right to work.

You have to remember that heaters were optional back then. Even a "factory" one might have been dealer installed.

I would hang on to it for some wall art or sell it for like $20 to $40 to someone else for whatever they wanted to do with it. JMO
