Question Anyone know the stock cam specs from a '73 Ford 302?

I'm trying to figure out what the specs are on this cam, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Apparently I'm not looking in the right place, as I'm a believer that the info I seek is out there somewhere... a link or response with the info would be greatly appreciated!

Nope! Remember...this is right in the middle of the era all manufacturers had to comply with strict emmission requirements.

On top of this ...the cam was run retarded.

Also remember 73 was supposed to be the last V8 mustang because the world was running out of gas (yeah right). That engine in stock form was nothing to be proud of. In 74 they released the MustangII with no V8 option, then realized what idiots they were and for 75 released the CobraII with a 302 in it. By this time unfortunately the damage was done and the Camaro was kicking the Mustangs a_s.

Thumbs up

Yeah...most don't remember...but FORD went through some hard times (well, they all did) during this period.

With the introduction of the PINTO came the flood of imports. Sitting in gas lines was no picnic.

I rarely think about that, as it all happened before I was around (though not by much).

Hey KULTULZ, I remember in Jersey we had odd/even gas days. If your license plate ended with an odd number you could only get gas on odd numbered days. God forbid your plate ended in a 3 and you were running out of gas on the 12th, oops had to wait a day.
