A real Texan wouldn't drive a VW.....................
I am sure there is a collector who would like the parts.

If I was within a day's drive of you, I'd take that off your hands. My first car was a '65 Beetle (I was the 7th owner). They're tough and simple and easily modified.

Man only a 2 1/2 hour drive for a free bug? Geez my mom is gonna kill me if me or my dad bring home any other cars that don't run.
Id love to have it, but im not sure what I would do with it. Poncho is right though, a real texan wouldn't drive one, unless it somehow had a V8 in it! wait, I know what I could do. I got SBC 350 and old pontiac 400 sittin under my barn right now, I bet that bug would be one nasty little dune buggy with either of those, not sure how I could rig it up though. Brad |

My kid nephew is thinkin' about building a Baha Bug and could probably use the parts. I wonder if you could fold it up for me and put it in a Kleenex box?
Cheaper to ship thataway

I say build a budget v8, olds toronado transmission (what else would fit?) and make a sport compact. It'd be cheap, and fun.

I may be able to help with transport if you're not in a big hurry. I have a 2 place car trailer and am headin' to Austin 11 Dec to pick up a fine piece of British Lawn Art(tm) I scored on ebay. I'm also planning a trip to SE. Mi. and Tenn. sometime in Jan/Feb. I can do it for the low price of $0.** per loaded mile, directly using map quest.(so pretty much anywhere between Austin and Denver within reason, and Denver to Detroit/McGee Tyson AFB in Tenn.)It may just take a little while to get to the end user... Storage during the delivery period is not a concern. The neighbors are used to old rusty junk sittin' on the trailer... PM me or email me @ frankenstang57@lpbroadband.net if there is any intrest.
