Anyone remember a Ford Bronco Funny Car?
Built by Doug Nash back in the 60s?

Yep...I guess it was before they realized that aerodynamics meant something.......That "win on Sunday, sell on Monday" meant a lot back then

As I recall... (we are in trouble now!)... it was competitive.
One advantage would be that it was had to be very light! I am pretty sure it was an injected smallblock Ford on Nitro. The light weight... due to the limited tires back then... would allow it to hook up and run really good on the first half of the track. In other words, it would E.T. very well. Top speeds are nice... but E.T. wins! |
