Anyone use a welder like this?

I got this "welder" for free. I can mig, tig, stick and gas weld, but have never played with one of these. I was going to mess around with it but now am thinking it's not worth it. Is this thing good for anything?

Not much more than a curiosity if you ask me. It's just an old, cheap, 115v stick welder with a low duty cycle. Maybe power it with a portable generator and use it out on the trail for emergency repairs??

Actually it's an old carbon arc welder, basically just a low powered AC machine. If it works ok then it most certainly can be used to do small jobs with just get some small mild steel rods like maybe 6012 or 6013 and it should work just fine, don't even bother with the carbon arc torch function.
