I am thinking of painting my Rambler with a color out of the Sherwin Williams Planet Color line. Has anyone used any of this paint and do you have a pic?
I am thinking of going with a color called "fifty-nine caddy"
Would be nice to see some cars other than the ones on the website...
I have only seen that paint in person once, it was an orange used on Dale Earnharts, Jr 's Camaro done by Detroit speed.
Everything else was Spi so that is why I was involved, Painter was as scared as I was so I had him give 60 minutes flash on first coat and 30 minute flash time for each addition coat, then we let the base set overnight and cleared the next morning. Turned out perfect and you may have seen the car in a few Magazines over last 4-5 months.
Other then that I have talked to a half dozen shops that have tried this paint and it has worked out very well for them but I have not seen any of the jobs.
I'd say its a safe bet if they have the color you want and a good price.
I know a guy who has been using it exclusivly for a few years now, I don't know him well, never seen him apply it or anything like that but have seen the finished work and it is just as you would expect from HOK.
Thanks guys for the info..These colors are pretty wild so its nice to get a look at them on cars. The guy that will be painting my Rambler wanted to know if I liked "fishing lures"..obviously joking about the amount of flake in the paint.
Anyone else have pics please post them

I have called that giant flake "Bass boat flake" for years. I love the stuff!
