Anyone using Glide Engineering Seats?

I purchased the front and rear seats for my '33, and was curious who else was using them and how they finished them.

I purchased the split bench seat for my 38 Hudson but have not had it covered yet. One thing I did notice though is that you cannot put too much weight on the center edges of the backs or they will bend the pin on you..

I have the Glide 50-50 buckets for my '31. They are very nicely built - heavily made. My upholsterer DID NOT like their foam packages though as they were way too big and required much work to get ready for upholstery - now all I have to do is get them installed - the weather has been so cruddy that I can't get the car to his shop without a full 75 mile salty road run and final interior fit up. I don't have photos of them covered yet but have a couple at body fit up time.

Sorry about the photo quality - it was a borrowed low end camera.

The one and only complaint I have heard about them is the foam they use, seems it's not very supportive. I looked at them real close at the NSRA nats in Louisville and went with a Tea's instead. I like my seat a bunch.

I used the glide seat in my 30 model a roadster, but I used the bench seat with the hydraulic ram to open the lower cushion and used it for storage and had a battery cut off switch there. I did, however have custom foam made to fit my behind from my upholsterer. I loved the seat, and it was a great addition to my roadster!
