Aod shifter install
I recently bought a 88 notchback mustang, it was originally a 4 cylinder car. Someone decided to do a v8 swap, but they left the 4 cylinder shifter in the car. Therefore the car does not shift like it's suppossed to, I bought an aod shifter used off of eBay and am having some problems installing it. The shifter I bought has a bracket that I am assuming is for the shifter cable but the 4 cylinder shifter does not have this. Are the linkages the same on the 4 and 8 cylinders? And if so where does the cable go? Thanks for any input.
