ARP stainless bolt kit question.

I priced out stainless bolts from ARP. I want to complete my motor with lots of detail. I found that Home Depot has a huge selection of stainless. Their bolts are not polished and have cast markings on top of them. I took the cast marks off and polished them and they turned out like show quality. The price difference was like 75 % less and a little work but that's fine. My question is am I getting a softer ( less strenghth ) product doing it this way or am I much safer using the ARP product. Remember I am trying to do everything from the intake down to the oil pan. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

I don't see any problem using stainless bolts from Home Depot or any other hardware store providing they are NOT going to be used for a specific torque application. Use the high dollar bolts for the mains, rods and heads, then the others for all the simple bolt on things. I bought plain hex drive bolts for my intake and they worked fine. Go for it!

OK sounds great. The only tq will be the intake and that's not much so it should be fine. Thanks
