Attaching insignias / vinyl roof
I finished painting my '66 Mustang ( yeah finally did it ).
Now I have to attach the insignias on the car which usually isn't a problem except that I want to put an anniversary medallion on the side of the fender. There are no holes in the fender and the medallion appears to have been glued on. What kind of glue should I use for this ? I also have a cut in the vinyl roof where the side chrome attaches. I need to reattach it and also seal it. Was thinking about using permatex. Anyone know if this would work or if there is something else better ? Thanks.

Most every single emblem these days is attached with "two sided tape". If you go to the paint store you will find a number of different widths and stengths.
Don't think for a second that this isn't very strong, you will BEND a panel removing them. Brian

Thanks Brian. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix the slit in the vinyl roof ?
