Attaching Laminated Deck Skin?

Well, I did it. Ill post some pictures soon. I'm hoping that I attached the hog ring correctly by attaching them under the seat springs on the side. This left me with a hog ring free top to glue my foam onto. Did I do it correctly?

It doesn't need to be super tight because the foam and seat cover will hold it down to the seat spring assembly. You just don't want it shifting around.

I just re-read your first post. The hog rings should be attached to the border wire around the perimeter of the seat frame, not to the springs under the border wire. Look at the last picture in this post: CLICK HERE

If you attach the deck pad to the springs, you may create a situation where the springs don't function correctly. The deck pad is there to keep your seat foam from being cut by the springs and pushed through as the seat is used.

I have looked high and low for the laminated deck skin you describe, but can not locate it anywhere. Dan, where do you get it, or do you have any??? Thanks.

I have one supplier that I get it from, but they only sell to upholstery shops. Yes, I have some I can sell you. PM me and I'll get your shipping address.
