if its not there somone removed it.normally they are under the lid, and if the lid was ever replaced u will no longer have the right rpo sticker.

at this point ur best bet is to remove the front seats flip them over and retrive the build sheets. they usually stick the build sheet up inbetween the foam and wire frame of the bottom of seat .

the build sheet wont give u as much info as the rpo sticker but its a start

Now THATS what I wanted to know ,I was thinking I was going to need one of those computer things pluged into it...I can borrow one but have no idea how to read what its telling me.
So if some devious S.O.B. found a top of the line IROC in the junk yard with all the goodies and a console they could swap the console in a run of the mill camero and make a clone ,then sell it to someone as a rare top of the line Iroc? Dont the VIN tell you anything? isnt the vin number on that sticker??? I see those sets of three numbers all the time on newer car and trucks but never knew what it was all about I was just looking for a paint code....
anyone know when they stoped makin the TPI and why??? I remember when they came out they looked so cool everyone wanted one for their hot rod...ME included it.... took over 20 yrs for me to get one but dam they still look cool...Would look great in my 54 P/U I just cant ruin a perfectly good Iroc...

nope just look at the sticker and look up the codes on it to find out what options u have.

as far as the tpi intake it is cool looking but its crap on anything more then a stock engine.granted u can buy better flowing pieces but they to this day still cost a ton of money

the tpi is a great down low tq intake and was well suited to trucks, but hits a huge wall around 4,500 rpms.

convert an lt1 intake to accept a distributor and replace the tpi with the lt1 intake and they pick up around 50hp from just the intake swap

92 was the last year for the tpi intake, in 93 they went to the lt1, then eventually onto the ls1/x engines

that being said for most ppl who want port fuel injection the tpi intake is the first choice as its cheap 300 bucks can typically get u the entire intake system with injectors fuel rials and harness/ecm

but now with the vic jr efi intake i would go with that way before the tpi stuff

a vic jr efi , with an throttle body adapter elbow,and lsx throttle body setup will cost u about 2-300 more then a complete stock tpi setup but will out perform it in every way, including a fully modified tpi system with high flow base runners, and twin 58mm throttle body

and since ur using the single plane in a dry flow application u dont experience the loose of tq down low as u would in a carbed application

how are you coming up with about 700.oo for the vic efi??

yes very easy to steal..
best part to buy if planning on holding on to the car is a grant anit theft system..
yes it not stop a pro.. but it'll stop 90% as you can't drive away with no wheel to stear.

u can get a fuel rail kit on ebay for 53 bucks
200-250 bucks for an new elbow
50 bucks for a used ls1 tb

663 bucks + misc bs like gaskets or fittings for the fuel lines

if u get used stuff or shop around u can get it cheaper

I bought one many years ago, not to deter theives but so I could fit
a tiny steering wheel, 13", and swap it out to a legal size one for the yearly inspection.

oh, ok..
O'm thinking efi for my 355.. but can't get any honest answers of what a headache it's going to be..
as that engine needs a turbo.. but I've done the turbo carb thing (80t/a first301 then 350 then 400)

do u already have en efi ecm and harness?

my personal choice for a sbc with a turbo is always
megasquirt 1 or 2 and tpi intake or vic jr efi or any other single plane efi intake

few guys on tgo have been using the procomp efi single plane and they love it, these run 150 bucks brand new + 53 bucks for the fuel rail kit

I'd not buy a procomp anything.. as long as a cast here part is aval..
