Hopefully this post wont goto the junk pile, so I will be carefull how I word this.

I have been thinking about selling my race which is a suzuki samurai with a 408 stroker, runs 10's. Since a samurai is not a collector car, like an old chevelle or challenger, ect, do you guys think I should auction the car off as a complete unit on E-bay or would I get more money by parting it out? The complete car is so custom Im not really sure what I could get for it. You can check out some of the pics on my account here. Just curious what most of you guys think would be the best approach for getting the most money. I know I wont get back out of it what i have in it and I dont need the money, but its kind of a pain to sell all these parts seperate. What have you guys done in the past?

Put it on Ebay with a reserve and see what comes of it. If you don't get the high bid that you need you don't have to sell it, it will cost some but it may work out. I have never seen a race car like it before. So maybe someone will want to be different and buy it as it is. It is fast if its truly in the 10's.

I dont know what to ask for, im completely confused, I suppose it should be something resonable or it wont sell. Can you guys give me some ball park idea's? I know I wont get what I have in it, but dont want to give it away too. Maybe I'll add up what it's worth if I parted it out and go from there.

A 10 second car is just that. Even though it is a obscure set up I would ask at least a very firm 10k.

The body might not appeal to a lot of people but from the pics in your photo album it appears to be a very well thought out and executed piece. I'd try to sell as is but make sure you include lots of pics of the frame and suspension layout and motor. Someone could easily drop a body of their choice on it and have a real nice ride. Make sure you include the wheel base and track widths, or at least have them readily available in case someone asks, that could convince someone it's just what they need to drop their Pinto or Model A PU cab on even if they aren't crazy about the body. If that doesn't get the desired results part out the body but try selling the rest as a single unit. I think it will sell pretty easily, there is always somebody looking for a set up like that to put under something. I bet a '59 Anglia Sedan would fit that REAL nice! I bet it's a real thrill at WOT with that short wheelbase.

Dude...Did you NOT learn your lesson last time about promoting your hokeyass page? Good way to get a decent thread sent to the dump and get yourself banned...Maybe one of the mods can save this thread and just edit out your portion of it.

If you were wanting to get an idea of price list it on ebay with the price you know you'd let it go for as the reserve. You will not believe the number of people who will contact you while it's up for auction.

So called is correct. BidWhale.com, I, me personally put hour after hour into making the site the best I can as of yet. It will only get better. I am actually deeply insulted by the way I've been treated over it. I thought hotrodders was a freindly place where I could chat about my favorite subject, hotrods, and be part of a family {which includes talking about what's going on in your life}. I spoke of it here only as a helping hand... and the idea of it was to help people.

Brainsboy, I really like your ride and that's why I offered. If I could buy it I probably would b/c I think it's a 4 star ride! Also, thanks for the help and ideas on the Windsor thread {I'm a Chevy nut and have been one for years, I know the principles but things like lift and duration likes chage from one series of engine to the next and things like specific head casting #'s to look for are also a great help! thanks again}

Hey guys were all friends no fighting on my threads.. Thanks for all the suggestions and idea's so far. I'm going to probably try the researve idea.
