Thanks Ken. This month I thought we would get crazy and do hot rod taxi cabs! My inspiration was the cab that Queen Latifah drove in the movie, "Taxi", and thought it would be fun.

Hot Rod Taxi

While drawing the Hot Rod Taxi, I remembered back in the 1970's when northern California was full of all kinds of folks with their thumbs up in the air. It seemed like there was more people Bumming rides then people driving them. There was the young person just trying to get around . The hippy with one or more dogs some with a girl friend. And then there was the creepy long haired zombie types. Some of these people would come up to your car and open the passenger door at a stop sign and beg in gods name for a ride or for money. Most truck drivers would not give rides. And the police told drivers not to give anyone a ride for your own safety . But there was low lives that owned cars that would victimize the hitchhiker .What a big mess all this caused. A Bumper sticker came along some time in the 1970's it's Logo Yelled out *** Gas's or Grass no one Rides for Free. Most of the time these stickers could be found on the passenger wing windows. Of our rods. This caused good fun on cruise nights.

Good drawing, Jony! That's funny, 'cause I still see that bumper sticker around at some of the cruise nites. Probably been on the bumper for years!

Some more nice work so far this month. I have a thought. I always wonder which piece of artwork actually garnered the votes to win especially when there are multiple entries by one person (myself included). How about putting each piece up and voting on the piece rather than the artist? This way if a person can only post one entry, they have an even chance with those who are able to post multiple entries. This would also let everyone see which piece is the favorite. Any thoughts?

I don't have a problem with that. Jon may have, because it means more computer work posting individual works to vote on.
