Auto Air Candy

Hi,
I understand I should reduce the AutoAir Candy colours 3:1 with the AutoAir Flash Reducer 4011.
Do I also need to add the Transparent Extender/Base 4004 as well?

I would say that yes, you are.

I would imagine that someone will eventually read this and get you the information that you need.

I'm no expert, by any means ... but I found these on their website.
Hope this helps.

Looking up the details on #4004:

Quote:
4004 Transparent Base

Colorless base to all Auto Air Colors.

Reduces concentrated 4600 Series Candy Colors.

Use as inter-coat with minimal build. Although not necessary, Transparent Base can be used as a protective inter-coat. Apply in very light amounts when doing so and allow for extended drying time. Inter-coat of Transparent Base over coarse 4400 Series Gem and 4500 Series Hot Rod Sparkle Colors assists top-coat clear in bridging over colors’ pearl-flakes. A little goes a long way when using Transparent Base as an inter-coat clear. Apply it as a drop coat. Do not “paint” it on with any significant build-up of material.

Add to colors in any amount to increase transparency.

The use of it as an inter-coat clear is also mentioned in the Application Guide
