autolite 144?

i have a 355 with a 142 blower and NOS. i have autolite 144 installed. im running the msd 6al box with the boost timing master that automatically retards the timing per pound of boost. the car is alsmost at the point i can start it however just wanted a second opinion on the plug. is it too hot? just dont want any unessesary detination. thanks for any help.

note: the motor is all forged and iron including the heads 8.5:1. so i use the tapered plugs not the newer ones. thanks

Timing, compression, and load are going to determine how hot/cold the plug should be. I'd contact autolite with the specs of the motor and ask them for a recommendation, or ask an aftermarket performance plug company the same. They will have at least a dozen questions about the motor, so have all the specs ready, including rearend, and trans specs.
