autolite 26? or 405?
hey im having issues with my plugs, my builder said try autolite 26s and i think someone from here said autolite 405? it just kinda seemed like the 405s???what, dont really bite alot of thread??like maybe 4 5 turns ( finger ) then its snug? is that about right? the 26s dont even thread at all! the heads are 290s BBC the 26s look like a hot plug while the 405s are deffinitly longer thanks, mike

More information, what engine, what heads, what induction, what's the motor used for, all this comes into it. Have you ever run and read plugs before, if so, what did you see?

they are 396 -427 heads, i wanted a cooler plug, its a 454 10.1 comp there 209 heads

I never liked Autolite after Ford sold them, try Motorcraft or AC Delco both are superior plugs to Autolite.
