Autolite 4100

I just got my rebuild kit/hardware kit from 'Mike Carburetor Parts' in the mail,Im looking the rebuild kit and hardware kit over,And its better than looking at PORN! i cant wait to start putting my Autolite 4100 back together,I have not seen a decent rebuild kit for an autolite in many years,And this one fits the bill exactly,I will even have some pieces left over to got to work on my other autolite 4100s'

i got three autolite 4100s' all torn apart,Cleaned up and rebuilt. And amazingly all 3 function nicely.I have a 1.08 venturi ..and 2 1.12 size venturi carbs..I dont know who got the idea that you cant run a 600cfm autolite on a bone stock 302 or 289 ford V8..but i have spent the last 2 weeks swapping all 3 carbs around and tuning them on my Willys truck..all run and operate nicely..i will admit, that the 1.08 venturi sized autolite does have a little bit more 'snap' and a tad better throttle response than the 1.12s'..but im getting between 17mpg and 19mpg with all 3 smell the 1.12s' running a bit more rich..but no more than a run of the mill Holley 600 actually a bit less pleased with the autolites. Now im going to tackle my summit 600cfm..which initially gave good results but began to show problems with staying adjusted and the electric choke not functioning porperly..could be operator error, maybe could be gremlins in the carb. But i will order rebuild parts and jet down a bit to se what i end up with..but for now im quite proud of my handiwork with the autolites
