Automatic with vintage floor shift

Saw a '39 Buick at a car show last week that has an automatic transmission (4L60E), but has a vintage manual looking floor shifter. See the pictures. Does anyone know how this would be accomplished?
Thanks

I wonder if that shifter came from billet specialties? Any way it could be done by using a gated type of shifter where you move the shift lever to the side and then placing it in drive reverse or park or neutral as the case may be.

There must be at least a half dozen companies that make street rod shifters like that. Just thumb through the latest issue of Street Rodder. Most bolt to the trans and use a rod to actuate the transmission. A few bolt to the floor and use a cable like most OEM floor shifters.

Thanks for all your help.
On one of the other hot rod forums a couple of hot rodders said they did not think Lokar shifters work well.
1) What is the opinion of these shifter kits on hotrodders.com?
2) What is the best shift kit that adapts a vintage manual looking floor shift to an auto transmission?
Thanks

The Lokar & Genie shifters are Ok for putting/cruising around but, not for any performance type driving.
Check out TCI or B&M Street Rod shifters.
