autometer voltage gauge is cookin

Hi I have a new painless 12 wire installed in a 53 belair with a 100amp.. one wire powermaster alt. I reading 14.5volts at the alt and 14.5 at the trunk mounted battery. Is the gauge wrong. What next to check..Thanks
autometer voltage gauge is all the way over to the right. its all brand new

if the car is running then no the gauge is not wrong. but if you think it is use a mulit-meter and double check it.

14.5 with the engine running ?
This is not bad, a little high but with the limited control of a 1 wire it is to be expected. Your picture of the gauges looks like it is with the engine off so I don't understand what the point was. I did notice the speedo is pinned on the high side, you may want to look into why. Could be damaged or wired wrong.

14.5 was with engine running. Speedo pinned due to being new and not even hooked up. point of pic. who doesnt like pics. But i get your point
