are you typing f-a-g-g-o-t? Couldn't tell, got **'ed out. Not that I understand why immature, middle aged rednecks are bringing it up in this thread (or really any thread for that matter) I moved in with 3 guys and 6 girls last year, which seemed like a pretty good deal to me But a few months ago one of them moved out and subletted to the gay dude next door. Personally I've grown not to like the guy that much, I think he eats my food and is loud and annoying, but I could give two *****s that he's gay.

This thread is rediculous, some redneck POS jumps my ***** and I'm the bad guy because I'm not 60 years old yet. What a load of crap.

First off you posted a bunch of opinions (some stated as a fact you know) and machineshop tom, BstMech, and Bobcrman all offered counterviewpoints. BstMech's first post was not confrontational but simply stated his rollers did roll which he verified by wear patterns and that all manuals say to stand the crank on end. You kept arguing and it got personal. You said in your post "There's never been a case of a crank that's warped on its side." So you can say beyond any reasonable doubt that not one crankshaft has ever gotten screwed up from not being stood up (including all car engines, marine, diesel, aircraft, etc.). If you are going to come here and say 'roller tip rockers' don't roll and you can't damage a crank by laying it on it's side you must be prepared for some arguments. It's a shame this could be a great/funny thread but with you two fighting it is destined only for the 'dump'.

Not taking sides here, but, if you haven't seen a warped crankshaft, then you haven't seen many crankshafts.

yeah, this is pretty silly in any event. SO anyway, I'll try and go back to that tech article that I read about the cranks and tests, I can never remember where I find that info. YOu have to admit, however, that there are a lot of "if it was good enough for dad its good enough for me" kind of logic in hotrodding, especially the kind of hotrodding we like to do (older american V8 technology). I'm sure bob knows what he's talking about with the cranks. It stands to reason, though, that it would be nice to know exactly when cranks warp or what forces are involved. That way we could pack them more carefully and eliminate the risk that they'll fall and crack.

BTW, these are the things that weren't needed and pissed me off, and rightfully so:

"I'm sorry you bought a "Ding King" and feel deceived by their advertising because it wouldn't pull your whole quarter panel back into shape. "Too much of YOUR perception of this hobby is based on advertisements", is what you should have said. Most of us live it, day in and day out.

You really have no idea what you're talking about do you?

and

"You should stick to subjects like "How to live with homos", or "How to be politically correct to the point of pointlessness". ""

Those were uncalled for, especially from somebody who claims to be 31. I'm not in the wrong for reacting like I did.
