axle trivia

I have a 92 s10.I bought an Eaton carrier for my truck.I tore the rear down to find out I have a 26 spline in the rear of the truck but a 28 spline posi. Now,do the two axles interchange?I mean, are the lengths the same where i can get a pair of 28 spline axles to replace the 26's and use my new Eaton?Im pretty sure the bearing diameter is the same.Plus, any geusses on how many horses this rear might withstand with an automatic?Thanx in advance folks

The axle bearings are the same and you can install 28 spline axles in the rear end that you have. This might be helpfull. http://www.nastyz28.com/forum/showth...t=install+posi
