I can't remember exzactly what that black '69 Road Runner went for, but when my dad saw that go up on the block, he went off on how he should have never gotten rid of his '68 Cornet, his was a 383 with 440 heads, and an automatic, had it until 1985 when my mom made him get rid of it cause he wasn't doing anything with it. a friend had a junk bodied '69 RR with a 426 HEMI, he was going to put the Hemi in the Cornet, but never did, ended up giving both cars away to someone who wanted to restore them.

If everyone saved every car that they saw on Barrett-Jackson that brought big money...they wouldn't be worth big money.
Barrett-Jackson prices are very unrealistic to the other 9billion cars that are similar to the high dollar rides...Just because you see a 29 Henway go far $200'000 doesn't mean that YOUR 29 Henway will bring the same money.
Thats why I don't watch it...that and the fact that every Joe Schmucky thinks that their old POS rotting away in the pasture is now worth 1000times what most people would be willing give for it. I have personal heard "Well, if she was fixed up...she'd bring $90'000 at Barrett-Jackson"
My response is usually a blank stare before I walk away...
Later,
WEIMER
