Im rebuilding a transmission for a friend, a 350 turbo, the trans had already had a b&m shift imp. kit installed. My questions is now that im reassembling, does anyone know corect location ofthe check balls for theb&m instructios both for the rv and stree and strip? i wanna get it back together but i dont have the instructions for the kit the was previousy installed..

oh yeah and does the b&m kit leave out the 1-2 acc spring?

hopefully crosley will jump n quick on this one

there are several varibles on how you want the trany to shift, what if any holes are missing or were drilled in the plate for accumilation feeds to the accumilatro pistons.

You can install only the check ball near the valve the vacuuum modulator operates against or all 4 check balls.

i reused the b&m spacer plate and made the modifications to the non b&m gaskets to match up, i ended up only putting in one checkball the one nearest the coner with the vaccuum modulator.

i did put 1-2 acc spring in it also for a little piece of mind that its not gonna be busting up the roller clutch right away on my friend

crosley, while your watching this post i have another question for ya. When i replaced the low/reverse piston seals, i air tested them with about 30psi and i got a small hissing around, the center seal area, i then dissasembled the piston checked the seals, and inspected the area the ride. no luck finding any problem areas. think it will be ok, is this kinda normal to bleed off a small amount of the presssure, at such a low psi?

sorry about all the questions, just hate to do it twice

thanks,
Greg

I missed your response, been busy with many items lately........

A slight leak / hiss can happen with seals. Some times the aluminum case area where the rear bushing drives in will crack. this is the same area where the smaller square cut seal rides.
