Anyone know about Babe Erson Cams?
I bought a fresh SBC 383 at a Goodguys swap meet that had sat around awhile.
Pulled the pan to make sure it was a stroker and pulled
the cam. It was stamped BABE. I wrote down the numbers
and put it away for safe keeping and of course can't find it!

**Just found the note with the marking information!!!!
BABE 107-6 B04 887
That's all that was stamped on the cam.

Babe was Sigs' brother, Had a shop in So. Calif. and died several years ago. I called Erson cams and that's all the info they had.
I'd like to know what the numbers mean!

Find a shop that has a Cam Doctor Camshaft lobe profile measurement tool.

It will generate a readout on the camshaft specs you want to know.

Steve Long - Steve Long Racing Cams - former co-worker / employee of Babe's took over Babe's shop when Babe passed . . . at least that's what Steve told me when I tried to follow up with Babe some time ago. Steve's shop is at 119 North Maple St., Suite H, Corona, CA. Phone is (951) 273-0816. Maybe he can ID that cam . . . or you already got that info.

Steve Long returned my call today and said He would have been the one that ground my cam for Babe Erson cams! He explained all the numbers.
