Back from the dead - it lives!!
Fired the 355 up for the first time today, fired up with no problems (a little valve noise but that should disappear after adjustment). Alternator belt started slipping during break-in and decided it was gonna pop, so I had to cut the break-in short, but will pick it up again after a new belt and proper tensioning. All in all, a successful first run.

hey
im sure glad you had a successful run on your engine. i just fired up my 327 for the first time in a couple of months cause i have been repairing and repainting my 63 truck, and yet it just something had to go wrong, i put new headers on and the hot battery cable somehow was laying on the headers so that melted on the headers making huge sparks, hope it didnt burn up my electrical system. it sounded good but just had hell.
