Never going to get this computer stuff. 61 yrs old ,first coupe 1938 chevy project. Totally lost on inner outer cowl and floor replacements, firewall was easy. BACKGROUND. My brother was 16 yrs older than me ,he bought it when i was 13 sold it when i was 17. THE BUYER became a life long friend of mine ,took the car apart and never would work on it again . He was killed a few yrs ago and his wife knowing the car and I had history said if i want it come and get it but she gets first ride My youngest son and I went and picked up the car .great father/son project. We agreed on a straight axle gasser theme in memory of my brother and my friend. TWO weeks later my son was killed in a headon acident 3 miles from my house . SOME may understand why this car has to run again

I'm sorry to hear about all the misfortune, my condolences...My name is Ray and have a background in paint and body, whatever I can do to lend a hand I'll be happy to. You came to the right place, a lot of knowledge here on this site...I've never built a gasser in the past but love the look.

And I do understand

I can't say that I know your pain, but I can imagine. I do understand why the car has to run. Let me know what I can do to help.

I can only imagine what you are going through. The upcoming holidays will not make it easier either. I did notice this is your first post and thought to myself that this forum could be a real blessing. We have a lot of great guys on here and they are not only great sources of information and knowledge but also we tend to do a pretty good job of entertaining each other. Hopefully spending some time here on the forum will be a great way to take your mind off your loss. We will look forward to hearing from you in the future.

Welcome aboard.

I too can't imagine but have a small idea of the passion you must have to get that car going. We are all here for you to realize your dream.
