Backseat of my 72' Chevelle?

Can anyone tell me how to get the back seat out of my 72' chevelle?

Try removing the bottom first. Push BACK towards the trunk on the very bottom of the seat and lift up. You will have do this on both sides.

Once the bottom is out, you should be able to see how the back part is fastened at the bottom.

I have not removed a 1972 but most GM's in that era remove this way.

Push down and back on the bottom lip of the seat. It will pop out of the hooks. The backrest is held on with 2 bolts at the bottom. Take them out and lift up off the hooks.

Yeah, these guys told you right, thats exactly how they come out. My 71 is actlually all tore apart right now, so I happen to have a picture of the bracket they are talking about, I drew an arrow towards it, this way you have an idea what they are talking about. You're gonna have to give it one hell of a push back, because they can get stubborn.
