Bad BF goodrich tires!!

I recently purchased some BF goodrich radial T/A tires, and im now having problems with them, Two of them have developed bulges in the sidewall!! one only has about 1000 miles on it , and the other only has about 300 miles on it. What causes bulging in the sidewalls? and has anyone else had any problems with this? thanks for any help.

Lance

Where do you live? If you live on the equator than that might be heat distortion, but it's most likely a manufacturing defect. You MAY be able to return them for new ones. I say may because some stores are really fussy about returns. Especially if the item is worn. Then again, they might be concerned for safety reasons. Then you might get two new tires.

I live in Oklahoma U.S. and it is just now spring, so i doubt its heat distortion, I ordered the tires through Jegs Performance. the are 295/50 SR15 radial T/A tires. I just think it is really strange to be having 2 tires with bulging sidewalls after just 500 to 1000 miles. I sure hope i can get them replaced, or im going to be EXTREMELY mad.

Lance,
I would contact Jeg's and explain the problem. They will probably replace them. I have been running TA's for the past 2 years without a problem.

I have only heard good things about those tires until today, I agree with AngilaBob.

I had them mounted and balanced on brand new wheels. One tire has a large bubble about 4 inches by 4 inches protruding out the side, even causing the white letters to be stretched and such. THe other tire just has a small one starting to stick out. But i guarantee they are bubbles.

Im going to have them inspected tomorrow to see what the deal is, BF goodrich told me that if they are defective, i can have them replaced at any dealer.
