Bad Paint Job Help Please
I own a limousine business. I recently bought a 2005 Lincoln Town Car with some scratches all around. I gave it to a small autobody and paint shop. Instead of doing the job any better, he made it worse. To remove the scratches, he drilled and pulled the metal, and then did a plaster and the paint on that part of the door on each side. Now he the pain on this part in a way that he tried to blend it in. However, now the paint has gone too much all over the door. It has a dull impression and no shine.
I am wondering if there is any way i can remove this over sprayed paint on top of the original paint and do something about this. His over spraying was so bad that small particals were all over the car including the windshield. Can i remove the over sprayed paint? Can i get the real paint and shine back. Or do i have to repaint the door or everything? Any help will do. I am looking for some guidence on my issue. ~Dee |

Bad Paint job. need help please
I recently bought a 2005 Black on Black Lincoln Town Car with few scratches. I gave it to a local small body shop. He did such a horrible work that i can't forgive my self and overcome. He drilled the door and pulled the metal and then applied plaster and repainted that part of the door in way that he tried to blend in. Now the scratches were very small and the original paint was still there but what to do. He drilled and did this horrible job.
Now, the blended paint is on top of the original paint in a way that the door paint looks dull and doesn't shine any more. On top of that, he did blend paint job so bad that all over the car including the windshield, there are particles of this new sprayed paint. I am wondering if i can do anything better now to remove this paint and get my original paint back and do a little better job. I guess i can take the car to compound detail shop and they can remove the small paint particles all over the car? What can i do to make it look newer and better. After such a bad paint job, it has affected me in many ways that i don't walk and sound happy with this almost brand new vehicle. Please help... ~Dee |

A good shop can try a cut and buff to get the overspray off and restore the shine..will probably need to redo the door to make it look right..
