HAHA! I'm glad we're not the only ones. Back in May we drove from Atlanta, GA to Oklahoma City. That I40 is horrible, holy crapola. One day we drove west of OKC out to say we stepped foot in Texas, so we got I40 from one end of the state to the other and I whole heartedly agree, it's bad!

But I did love OKC. I wish I could move out there.

Oh yeah, the farmland was definitely pretty. But after about 2 hours, it's boring for sure.

This is true, you've never seen bad roads until you've been to Michigan. First, in order to get people to run through the state and use I94 instead of 80 to the south, Michigan has some of the highest payload limits on their roads. On top of that, Michigan is not only cold but because of the lake-effect snows that they get (especially in the west end of the state like DV is talking about) there's a constant salting and plowing going on to help the extreme expansion/contraction destroy the roads. Even here in NJ I drive on I-80 between PA and NYC which is easily the most heavily traveled stretch of highway in the U.S. and its nowhere near as bad as in Michigan. Even when they do repair the roads, all they ever do is remove top layer and resurface them. In Michigan the entire road is removed down to dirt and relayed inch by inch in many cases. Its really a huge problem there-
