Balancing crankshaft

Hi
I`m new here.

I have ordered an eagle cast crank and eagle rods from summit.

Do I have to balance the crankshaft or can I just put it in?

TRW Flat Top 0.30 over
234 /244 Summit cam
Weiand stealth Intake
600 Edelbrock

Yes you will need to balance the assembly. Aftermarket cranks are made to a certin target bob weight. Even if you called eagle and got the target weight for your crank the chances of your rotating assembly meeting that exact weight are almost none....

Plus i have never even checked one to the target weight to see if it balances out, probably not...

Here's one that I remember. The bobweights were actually a little lighter than the target weight, but I still had to add heavy metal. I would say, though, that the Eagle cranks are a LOT closer than the Scat cranks.

Thank you for your opinion.

I have found a mashine- shop near my home and they will do it for 200 Euro.
