Banjo bolts/hoses for mid 70s Ford/Bendix??

Anyone make a banjo brake line kit that will fit mid 70s Ford and Bendix calipers? All I've seen are the more common GM 7/16"x20 or 10mm GM Metric calipers. I've also found some 12mm banjo fittings and bolts. I think the Ford/Bendix uses a 3/8" thread into the caliper. I've been told that the old Escort EXP used banjo bolts and hoses, and those would work, but they aren't that easy to find -- especially the bolts. I could always disassemble a caliper and drill/tap for a 7/16" bolt, but would prefer to find something that fits. Anyone know of any?

For the record, AMC uses the same Bendix calipers most Fords use through 1981. In 82 they went to a GM metric caliper. I'll be using them on a mid 70s AMC caliper.

Some of the ford stuff I've seen uses 7/16 24 banjo bolts. (the stock MII setup I sized last week did)
Speedway sells the banjo bolts in 6 different sizes/ pitches. A couple of the pitches are weird. They have a 3/8 24 banjo bolt.
Can you size the threads with a standard bolt? Or check the pitch with pitch gauge or another bolt?

I have a saved a few different part numbers of raybestos hoses that I put on stuff that doesn't need SS braided lines. It depends on the length as to which line I'll pick. I have found that it is easier to just go with the SS stuff though. You buy an adapter to fit your caliper and pick your length and you are done.

Usually any good parts store will have a banjo bolt that will fit the caliper. Sometimes you need to do a little clearancing on the caliper housing to get the hose to clear.

ECI sells a hose kit but it is for GM calipers and the hoses are only 15 " long.

I think I recall the problem now. Those calipers use NPT threads to screw the mal hose end into the caliper. So the hole will need to be drilled and tapped anyway. So what I would really like is a female NPT to banjo fitting so I don't need new hoses. Looks like that's way to much to ask though -- can't find anything like that! Or an adapter with AN female on one side and NPT female on the other. Oops! Something else that is N/A!

To get what I want I'd need a banjo end (has male AN), an AN female/female coupler, straight male AN to male NPT adapter, then an NPT female/female coupler. Now THAT stack would look neat and safe on a brake line right at the caliper!

If there was a female AN to female NPT adapter I'd use that and an AN banjo end, but more than one adapter would be foolish, unsafe, and unsightly. Just in case you though I was seriously considering such a monstrosity as described above!!

Did the original use a brass sealing washer? If so it wasn't a NPT fitting.

I called and checked a couple of amc applications, a 70's javelin takes a brass washer (it is one of the few illustrations in my raybestos catalog that does not show a thread size though. ).

What year and application are your calipers?

Mine are 79 Spirit calipers. The 70s with the brass washer are probably the old Bendix four piston. Mine don't use a sealing washer. Won't be to much trouble to drill and tap when I have the calipers off.

I was erroneously told that a mid 80s Ford Escort EXP used a banjo type brake hose that would fit. Apparently the guy who told me didn't know what a banjo fitting is. I seriously doubt there is a banjo bolt for NPT!!
