I think I'm gonna try it on some seafood like grilled fish or shrimp sometime later just to see what happens.

I'm slowly learning how to use that kettle cooker on low and slow but it's been a learning experience for sure.

Thanks for all the tips and info - - - I value your opinion.

Wow Wretched. Those ribs look super. I don't cook but I,sure do love to eat. Especially good barbecue. Smoking is indeed a neat thing to master.

I wonder how a beer can chicken would turn out if sesame ginger was used for basting.

Good thought - - - next time I think I'll pour half the beer out (yeah right) and replace with the SG marinade - - - - can't help but be gooooooood. If you do it first then let us know how it tasted and I'll do the same - - - - 'bout time for another BB anyhow.

Been doing it a while but I'm still learning, John. "Q'n" is one of those things that I don't think you ever know or learn enuff, especially from different parts of the Country. People have so much to share and most are more than willing.

Here's some proof that we start'em early down South. Dang good Blues Shuffle Tune also.

It took 2 years and 2 months for this thread to have 60,000 hits. And the Lawry's marinade is on sale right now for a dollar a bottle.

I went to buy some of the marinade and they had a commercial in the super market saying it can be used for basting.

That's the way I used it the last time on those awesome ribs.
It even kinda caramelized (sp) the bark which was real tasty too.

I used some on chicken yesterday. It does not work as good as it does on ribs or beef. The chicken had too much smoke flavor.
